As we kick-off the new year, one thing is clear: the healthcare industry is evolving faster than ever before. From the growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) to the changes in care models, 2025 marked a pivotal shift in how care is delivered, managed and experienced. At AssureCare, we have been privileged to support our partners through this evolution, leveraging cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking strategies to continue staying at the forefront of these opportunities.
The year of 2025 was dominated by the integration of AI across healthcare technology. These tools have touched nearly every part of the industry. Within clinical work, predictive analytics have been utilized to identify high-risk patients, gaps in care, and intervention opportunities. In administrative work, AI tools can reduce burnout in healthcare workers by automating and streamlining prior authorizations, documentation, and workflows. Approximately 22% of healthcare organizations have already implemented domain-specific AI tools – a 7x increase from last year – and this trend won’t slow down in the new year.
Value-based care also took center stage in the world of healthcare. The industry continues to shift from fee-for-service models to performance-based models. This leads to positive change not only for patients, but for providers, payors, and pharmacies as well. By focusing on quality over volume, the value-based care model reduces burnout amongst healthcare works. It can also reduce waste, lower overall costs, and improve efficiency throughout the healthcare system. AssureCare is proud to focus on value-based care and will continue our efforts going into the new year.
Looking ahead to 2026, AI will continue to evolve and dominate the healthcare industry. However, as regulations continue to be introduced, it’s important this growth and adoption is done responsibly. As of October 2025, 34 states in the U.S. have introduced over 250 AI bills related to healthcare. It’s important for teams to stay on top of these regulatory changes in the new year, to support patient safety and positive clinical outcomes.
Our own clients have spoken about their priority for driving meaningful impact through Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) interventions in the new year. SDOHs include insecurity around food, housing, and transportation, as well as other everyday conditions. Over half of health outcomes are driven by these non-clinical factors. Technology, like MedCompass, provides healthcare workers targeted, effective interventions to combat these challenges.
Interoperability will also continue to be a critical area of focus. Real-time collaboration between payors, providers, and pharmacies will provide a 360-degree view of each patient, changing how care is delivered. At AssureCare, we prioritize this connection. MedCompass coordinates and streamlines care for millions of lives, integrating with enterprise systems, EHRs, and clinical guidelines to create a seamless flow of data that improves outcomes and reduces costs.
In the new year, we will continue to evolve our own AI solutions responsibly, focus on predictive modeling and actionable insights to support our partners in combatting SDOHs, and continue to enhance and amplify our achievements in interoperability. By prioritizing patient-centric, technology-enabled solutions, our goal is to support healthcare organizations close care gaps, reduce costs, and achieve better outcomes.
We are excited about the opportunities the new year will bring and even more excited to support our partners in working toward their goals in the coming year.
