Vora Ventures raised $35,000 for Greater Cincinnati United Way to help the organization beat its overall goal by $15,000.

Vora Ventures was named the top new business participant by the United Way of Greater Cincinnati for their 2016 annual campaign during the finale luncheon at the Duke Energy Convention Center on Friday, October 28. The announcement was made by Cincinnati Bell CEO Ted Torbeck to more than 650 luncheon attendees. Vora Ventures raised $35,000 during their internal two-month campaign, which included multiple events and a food drive.
The money raised will be used to help combat childhood poverty and hunger in the greater Cincinnati area. The United Way foundation exceeded its 2016 goal by $15,000, raising a total of $62,115,000.
The United Way of Greater Cincinnati invests the money raised from the annual campaign in more than 280 programs, initiatives and community change efforts. The campaign is a fundraising partnership of United Way of Greater Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati-Dayton Region of the American Red Cross. Investments will be announced in December and will support the Bold Goals for Our Region program.
